Wabi-Sabi Interiors in Singapore
Texture, imperfection and subtle tonal shifts — a finish-led look with real maintenance implications.
Wabi-sabi is a finishes-led direction: textured wall systems, matte and imperfect surfaces, and tonal rather than colour contrast. Because the look depends on applied finishes, the maintenance question — how a textured wall behaves in a humid flat with children — belongs in the first conversation.
How it is built
The look is delivered by joinery, lighting and a restricted material palette rather than by decoration. In a Singapore flat the constraints are ceiling height, beam positions and the wet-area layout, so the design has to be resolved against the actual unit rather than against a reference image.
What drives the cost
Carpentry run length, door and drawer count, and the finish specified on the fronts move the number far more than the colour scheme does. TO FILL: real project cost range by flat type
